First Class Sailing
First Class Sailing is London's Leading Sailing School. First Class Sailing is a RYA recognised sailing school, with classrooms in Central London and yachts operating in the Solent from Shamrock Quay, Southampton. We teach RYA Day Skipper theory, Coastal Skipper Yachtmaster Offshore theory and Ocean Yachtmaster theory courses at offices of many firms throughout London. In addtion to RYA theory courses First Class Sailing teach the full range of RYA practical courses (Competent Crew, Day Skipper, Coastal Skipper and Yachtmaster Prep) in the Solent and English Channel from our boats based in Southampton.
We also teach VHF Radio, First Aid at Sea, Diesel Engine Maintenance and Sea Survival one day short courses at various locations in London.
Above all this London Sailing School believes that sailing should be safe and fun. We teach sound seamanship in a relaxed way that does not detract from the enjoyment of sailing.
Our courses are lively, practical, easy to understand and taught by experienced professional Yachtmaster and Cruising Instructors chosen for their experience, enthusiasm and sense of humour.
As well as teaching RYA Sailing courses, First Class Sailing offer fun weekends, mile building weekends, racing, team building and corporate days out, crusies to France and the Channel Islands and in 2007 a Fastnet Campaign.. On some of these trips it is possible to do elements, if not all, of the Competent Crew, Day Skipper or Coastal Skipper syllabus
